Caption: It's college orientation time. The brain cell is attending an elite academic university, and the hormones and endorphins are going to party schools. The muscle cell earned an athletic scholarship. And it looks like the DNA molecule has already picked a major. The DNA has life planned out. It's chemically active down there. The individual atoms are excited, but also seem a bit sad. Of course! Going off to college is an emotional time for them. Old bonds are breaking and new ones are being formed!

Caption: Wonderland Shoe Store. Sale. 1/2 off Sale. Lady Godiva will be riding off in a new pair of saddle shoes today. Rip Van Winkle chose some loafers, of course. And the 10 O'Clock Scholar thinks Oxfords suit him best. Why did Captain Hook run out without buying shoes? For some reason he became frightened when he heard there are Crocs in the store.

Caption: Space Tours. Ernie, in this interview promoting your space tours, you didn't acknowledge the first test rocket was vaporized in a huge launch pad explosion. I said "The first test yielded spectacular results!" There's nothing about your lack of a system to provide oxygen for the travelers. I informed people "the experience will leave you breathless!" Lots of your technology is straight out of the 19th century! I said "Come be a pioneer!" It seems most of your company's effort went into this contract that protects you from the fiery anger of customers when they realize they've been conned. And that's why I said "We've crafted an impenetrable heat shield!"

Caption: Lots of famous art may have been inspired by taxes. Jackson Pollack's "Number 5" could be a visual representation of global regulations. And perhaps Rodin's "The Thinker" is a man trying to understand those rules. Maybe Roy Lichtenstein's "Ohhh ... Alright ..." shows a woman being told to continue holding to get her tax question answered. And they there's Edvard Munch's "The Scream" ... Nothing makes you feel like that more than preparing a tax return!

Caption: What would happen if Shakespeare lived centuries later and tried being a baseball umpire? Out, damned spot! Out, I say! Can you explain the infield fly rule. It is madness yet there is method in it! What's in a name? A rose by any other name would hit as sweet! Fair is foul, and foul is fair. You should stick to writing.

Caption: I'm amazed that doesn't happen more often. People behind the wheel are constantly talking on their phones .. They're texting and fiddling with the music and other people in the car are distracting them. I think there'll be driverless cars before too long. CRASH! I disagree with you, Ernie. There's already lots of cars on the road with nobody driving! I'll have to call you back.

Caption: I'm losing sleep! The naughty-nice standard is so vague and confusing! Maybe "good" is not an objective fact. In "Hamlet" Shakespeare said "There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." Does Santa take into consideration other things might be as important as simply being good? You know, Oscar Wilde said "It is absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or tedious." Kids today worry too much and over analyze everything. As long as they keep their rooms tidy and eat their vegetables, they won't be getting coal in their stockings.

Caption: Heavenly politics. Campaigns here are different from those down on earth. Saint Peter has a complete file on everybody, so there's total transparency up here. Our debates are friendly and the ads are all positive. And here the incumbent in the highest office always runs unopposed. That's all true, but in one way the camaigns up here are just like the ones on earth. They go on for eternity.
