Caption: Not Helping. Mueller Report Edition. Here's evidence of crimes it's up to Congress to do something about. Kthanksbye! No. I don't criticize the President while I'm out of the country. I'm a brilliant contrarian journalist who's been right all along if you ignore everything in the report. The real question is how does this affect the 2020 horse race? Russia shmussia! Now, if Democrats did this, there'd be hell to pay. We must apply a very high standard of deference to the President. Unlike, say, a female candidate or a black teenager. Guess it's up to the voters to fix this mess!

Caption: What are they thinking? The GOP stole a Supreme Court seat, the Prez is under investigation, and SCOTUS nominee Kavanaugh wants to expand executive power. Yet half of Senate Dems are undecided about him. We don't want to rush to judgment about an illegitimate authoritarian sympathizer. Yes, everything the party has fought for since FDR will be ruined. But the Beltway media will respect us! Look, digging ourselves into very deep holes is what we do. By showing how bipartisan we are, we may not be thrown in prison when democracy dies! I'm tired. Let's just get this world-ending thing over with as quickly as possible.

Caption: Behind the Red White & Blue Curtain. It is a land filled with blocky buildings. The ruling party enriches itself and its cronies at the expense of the people. Nice work, comrades! Tax bill. The leader is an absurdly masculinist authoritarian. The lady senator is a ho! Voting rights are eroded under the guise of "election integrity." Committee to Investigate "Voter Fraud". Kris Kobach, Czar. Orwellian propaganda keeps the masses loyal. Fox News. Is Mueller staging a coup? Only enemies question ruling party! Welcome to America? This cartoon is fake news! MAGA.

Caption: Repeal and Destroy. Obamacare freed many to start their own businesses. What will the GOP replace it with? We have a plan for you. It's called Cubicle-Care. Then there's the Super Saver Special. Isn't this gig economy great? You can save for your own healthcare now! And retirement. And a house. And playing off student loans. U. Uber. Maybe they should have to live with the same plans they'll be dumping on the rest of us. What do you mean pre-existing conditions make my premiums $2000 a month?! I'm sorry. May I suggest a fewer steak dinners with lobbyists? Insurecorp. Or not live, as the case may be. Couldn't afford $10,000 insulin. But hey, pharma stocks are up!

Caption: Obama Nominates fern to Supreme Court. This is a moderate nominee that can bring us all together. Who doesn't like ferns? Legal experts weigh in. The fern has a limited voting record, so it's unclear how it would rule on abortion. I mean, it's not male or female. It has spores. Punditspew. Republicans respond. We will not vote on any life form nominated by Obama! Democratic voters are unenthused. I don't know. I'm just not feeling the fern.

Caption: RNC Lowlights. Bold new policy positions. I want to talk to you about love! Dog whistles galore! To do the really big stuff, you need an American! Unlike, say, a black guy from Kenya. Strategic sadism. Step 1: Ruthless obstruction of anything that might help the unemployed. Making Obama a one-term prez is our top priority! Step 2: See! Obama couldn't help you! Legacy-destroying chairs. What's that? You say I just screwed the pooch?

Caption: Slowpoke. Violent spin. A Palin aide claims that a map targeting democrats - including the recently-shot Gabrielle Giffords - doesn't who rifle sigh crosshairs, but surveyor sembols. Betha didn’t know I've got a thing for cartomagraphy! Clearly we are mistaken to erad violence into right-wing rhetoric! When senate candidate Sharron Angle (R - NV) called for "second amendment remedies" ... I mean we should all buy guns to help support the economy! It'll help small businesses and steelworkers! When REp. Michele Bachmann (R - MN) called for voters to be "armed and dangerous" over carbon credits ... I simply wanted them to have arms so they could call their elected officials in Washington! Together, we can put the global warming hoax in danger! When Giffords' tea party opponent ran an ad saying "Get on target for victory in November - Help remove Gabrielle Giffords from office - shoot a fully automatic M-16 with Jesse Kelly" ... I just wanted to improve peoples. hand-eye coordination at the voting booth! Some of these ballots are so confusing, you need to be an expert marksman!

Caption: Slowpoke. Recently, senate Republicans unanimously blocked a vote on the paycheck fairness act. I support equal pay for ladies, but actually making sex discrimination laws enforceable would be bad for business. Yes, sisters, it's time to take one for the team, and make sacrifices for the ailing economy! You mean other than all the unpaid labor I do in the home? That's a great start - But we can do more! Meet Darla Snyder, accounts payable. The guy next to me who plays Farmville all day get $10k more than I do. But that's fine. I know it's good for the country. That's the spirit! You just can't give too much! I work for free! And the out-of-wedlock babies I had with the boss will soon be old enough to clean the bathrooms!

Caption: Slowpoke. After an epic battle, health care reform finally passed. But THE GAME'S NOT OVER! There's still an … OBSTACLE COURSE TO CIVILIZED HEALTH CARE. HCA Bill. What Kennedy legacy? Massachusetts Might elect a republican senator who could torpedo the whole thing! I'll show you a minority whip! Reconcile THIS! Both the House and Senate must reconcile their bolls. Come to daddy ... Next, the bill must run through a maze of hedges while being chased by Jack Nicholson wielding an axe! Did you hear the one about Americans paying way more for health care than the rest of the world? The bill must then last and entire year as host of "The Tonight Show." Finally, it's signed into law! Until ... DUMP!

Caption: Slowpoke. Are you PETRAEUSLY CORRECT? The Senate recently passed a resolution condemning an advertisement that dared to criticize General Petraeus. Confused about what you can and can't say about members of the military? I'm Professor Perkins, and I'm here to help! DO question the patriotism of a triple-amputee Vietnam vet, as the GOP did in attack ads against Sen. Max Cleland. Max Cleland claims he has the courage to lead ... But he's really Osama's best ho! DON'T dare point out that Gen. Petraeus has poppy seeds stuck in his teeth from his breakfast bagel. We're making progress in Anbar! DO mock John Kerry's wounds from Vietnam by passing out "Purple Heart Band-aids" at the Republican National Convention. Kerry got a widdle boo-boo! Snort! DON'T drop a newspaper featuring a photo of Petraeus on the floor. If you do, you must kiss it! I am SO sorry! DO dismiss the soldiers who wrote an op-ed in the New York Times that contradicted Petraeus' claims.* It was a liberal plot. Whatever you do, DON'T draw the general as Bush's leg-humping lapdog! Gen. Poodlus. Down, boy! This is a big no-no! Pfut. Congressional testimony. *Two of whom are now dead.
