Caption: Ghost of Christmas Past, I'm proud of my frugality. So get lost. One more thing to show you. You remember when you were a boy and lent lunch money to a classmate at 25 percent interest? This is what happened to that classmate. It's just a picture of Dennis Kucinich. I created a Socialist? There's more. Cue up the photo of AOC,

Caption: You short-changed me when I paid for my drink last week. Are you sure? Of course I'm sure. You gave me change for $10, but I know I gave you more than a ten-dollar bill. Sorry about that. How much did you give me? I distinctly remember I had nothing but $1,000 bills in my wallet. Not falling for it.

Caption: Boss, remember when you said you'd consider giving me a raise if I were to show initiative? No. I used the café's line of credit to buy ads on a national broadcast. You did what? If the ad increases business, do I get a raise? Maybe. What channel's it on? Fox? NBC? Today's "Ask Sadie Radio Show" is brought to you by the worst excuse for a cafe in America.

Caption: Ask Sadie. Our resident surly lass answers actual reader questions sent to rudy@rudypark.com. Dear Sadie, My husband forgot my birthday. There was no cake, no trip, no party, no nice little gift, no card, no "happy birthday" whispered in my ear … NOTHING. How do I let him know how deeply that hurt me? - Hurt in Harford. Excellent question. It reminds me of the time I hunted down a wild boar in the Serengeti in 1951. Decades earlier, when I was but a young lass, nobody remembered my birthday, or so I thought. that night, dear old Grandmother Cohen surprised me with a loaf of bread topped with a flaming licorice stick. Just as I blew out the licorice, it happened: A young wild boar came out of nowhere, darted across our shack, grabbed my loaf in its slobbery may and escaped into the dark, stormy night. I tracked that boar for twenty years across seven continents before I finally caught him. Speaking of which, it's time for my daily ham sandwich. Anyway, what were we talking about? Ask Sadie, baby!

Caption: Randy, remember when the president went to the U.N. and talked about how unstable North Korea was? Yeah, that was right before he threatened to "totally destroy" North Korea. I see what you're getting at, little buddy. You think that was ironic. Yes. But what about Randy's axiom #67.1 ... "Unapologetic irony is the key to seduction. It breaks all rules of common sense and respect, and breaking rules is sexy." I didn't mean "sexy" in the hubba-hubba sense. Oh, good, because I was about to say, I didn't feel any hubbas at all.

Caption: A few years ago during a special episode of the Ask Sadie Show, our resident octogenarian* asked readers for advice about how she can deal with her midlife crisis. *(give or take a decade). Dear Sadie, You could try taking a trip to the Sahara Desert. Not only would it be an adventure, but you'd be the perfect person to catalog all the changes it's undergone. After all, you're probably the last person alive who remembers it when it was still a lush, ancient swamp. Happy Crisis, Anderson W. Stockton, CA. If you'd like, I could show you what it felt like when the tectonic plates collided. Advise Sadie at asksadieshow@gmail.com

Caption: Do you remember your first kiss? There was snow on the ground. There was snow everywhere. The grown-ups were all out. My father, Rocky, was out hunting with the other fellas. The scent of willow, or maybe white sage, woke me from my peaceful slumber. I turned to see from whence it came. That's when I saw her, kneeling beside a crackling flame, her eyes and her smile aglow with dancing ribbons of amber light. Our eyes met. I strode toward her. In silence, I sat beside her. I looked deep into her eyes. She looked deeper into mine. She grunted melodically, and I leaned in ... "Grunted"? I lightly brushed my lips against hers, and then pounded my chest to claim her as my own. I meant your first kiss in this life. We donned our lion furs and rode into the snowy night on the back of a mastodon to ask the volcano for permission to get busy, as was our clan's custom.

Caption: Who was president when you were born, Sadie? Did he wear a top hat, or was it a powdered wig? Did he wear knickers, or were they stockings? Very funny. You know what's even funnier? You probably couldn't name who was president when you were born even if your life depended on it. Without Googling it, I mean. Did your president wear wooden teeth? You're stalling and I see your thumbs tapping.

Caption: Armstrong, do you remember the first girl you ever kissed? Of course I do, minion. Here, let me call it up … Ah, yes. Little Alice Chang, of 847 Wickerwood Lane. I have her preosculation agreement right here, dated 1-3-1979. Her what? It's like a prenup. It specifies that a kiss does not constitute an official "relationship." My lawyer went to town on her when she later demanded half my Twinkies. Very bad man.

Caption: What's your question for "Ask Sadie?" Are America's best days behind us? Excellent question. It reminds me of the time in grade school when the schoolmarm told little Jebediah Thistlewood to pull up his knickers. The next day, Jebediah's pa came to school and said "In my day, a man was free enough to wear his trousers 'round his ankles if he wanted to. This used to be one humdinger of a country." I still have no idea what he was talking about. I don't even remember what I asked you.

Caption: I have a coupon for a free Moroccan Wasabi Mochaccino. You already used that coupon last week. I don’t think so. You must be thinking of another customer. No, I remember handing you the drink, you showing me the coupon … and then when I tried to take if from you, you pushed aside a table, a boy scout and a nun as you fled. I don't think so. Get out.

Caption: What's your earliest memory, Randy? Good question, little buddy. I was five years old. An alien crash-landed and I found it hiding in my closet. I befriended it and taught it to have fun. But eventually it got sick, and the government stepped in. That's when I helped the alien make its escape and reunited it with its parents. That sounds awfully familiar, Randy. I was a child. When some writer offered to option the story in return for a pack of Bubblicious, I thought it was a good deal.

Caption: I bet you've filled your head with so many tweets and Instagrams that you've crowded out all your actual memories of your own life. Nonsense. I remember way back, all the way to … well let's see … oh, I've got it … My earliest memory was opening an America Online cd, putting it in our old PC, and seeing that symbol. You do realize that was the 1990s don't you? You must have already been in your teens. You are a very sick generation! I get misty-eyed when I think back to "you've got mail!"

Caption: Is this Randy the Love Doctor? Speaking. What ails you, brother? I'm involved with a lady who's everything I could ever hope for. Yet I keep thinking about other women. You're a hunter, that's all this is. You're sabotaging your own happiness because if you're happy, that means hunting season will be over forever. Just remember, hunters who don't know when to quit get eaten.

Caption: Hi, this is Martin O'Malley. Marty! I haven't heard from you since the Battle of the Bulge! No, no … I'm the Martin O'Malley who's running for president. You always were a kidder, Marty. I'm not "Marty"! I'm the former Governor of Maryland. I'm running for the Democratic nomination. I'm calling to tell you I'd love to have your vote. House of Java Cybercafe. Remember when you convinced General Patton you were his long-lost love-child? You always were a rascal. How's Trixie? I don't ... (Sigh) Fine. She's fine. Gotta go.

She's agreed not to resort to violence. I see. And the bad news? On today's "Sadie Cohen Radio Show": Evil cafe owners who may or may not poison their customers.

Caption: Chills, Randy. I feel chills. And I can't move. And I can't remember the last time my palms were this sweaty. This must've been what people felt like when they heard the Allies were finally invading Normandy on D-Day. No way any movie can live up to this hype. Star-Wars-Day is almost upon us. We are about to embark upon the great crusade ...

Caption: Time moves so fast when you're older. No, it moves more slowly. No, it moves fast. You remember things that happened ten years ago as if they happened yesterday. No, it moves slowly. Every day is a tedious, endless moebius strip of boredom, punctuated only by the occasional argument. You win. This talk feels like it's going on forever. I feel like I've been winning for a million years.
