Caption: The House is Too Damn Big. From the WSJ: Wealthy retirees are having trouble selling their oversized houses … because younger buyers don't want them. When are today's kids going to grow up and buy my 7,500 square foot fantasy Tuscan villa? For sale. Economic trends are partly to blame. Uh ... Maybe after I pay off my student loans I could afford, like, a bathroom? You'd better pay those off - I own the student loan company! It's a trophy home. I thought you liked getting trophies. This is 20 miles from town and has a Godzilla-sized carbon footprint. A carbon what? Fortunately, there is a solution! I don't own a car. No problem. I'm an Uber driver! Freelance Flats. Gig economy workers only.

Caption: Not Helping. Mueller Report Edition. Here's evidence of crimes it's up to Congress to do something about. Kthanksbye! No. I don't criticize the President while I'm out of the country. I'm a brilliant contrarian journalist who's been right all along if you ignore everything in the report. The real question is how does this affect the 2020 horse race? Russia shmussia! Now, if Democrats did this, there'd be hell to pay. We must apply a very high standard of deference to the President. Unlike, say, a female candidate or a black teenager. Guess it's up to the voters to fix this mess!

Caption: Fred Fox Ace Reporter. Fred, what's with this conspiracy story you wrote about climate change being a hoax? You're a disgrace to journalism! Fred, you falsely demonized undocumented immigrants as a horde of dangerous criminals. We do reporting into genocidal incitement! Fred you killed a story about the president paying hush money to a porn star in order to protect him. You're fired! Actually, I'm not a person - I'm a whole cable news channel! Oh! In that case, you're a different equally-valid perspective. Carry on!

I'm protecting you from dirty, diseased migrant children! Joshua Tree National Park. We need a wall so people can't come in and destroy our country! Don't worry! The border wall will protect your charred remains!

Caption: Hate the Nanny State? You'll love The Aristocratic Old Grandpa State. Everywhere you look lately, there's a member of the Prosperity Police telling you what to do. Tut-tut! Not working hard enough! These success Nazis are obsesses with social engineering. The more I keep, the better everyone does! Also, young ladies should stop having sex, except for with me. Tax Code by me. Ayn Rand Reader. Scribble-scribble. They keep crushing individualism with their corporate collectivism. I'm just like you, except with astronomical amounts of money and power. Plus: Immortality. Galactibank Corporate Charter. Mom & Pop Co. Yes, it's time to get big plutocracy off our backs! Pay more taxes, you pathetic mooch! I would, but you laid me off!

Caption: Hedge Fund Nation. GOP Congressman Herbert Perkins has an economic plan. There's no excuse for not being a millionaire. Not when everyone can run their own hedge fund! We're going to issue trading stations and seed money to every household in the country - funded by the liquidation of social security! Clap! Clap! Soon everyone is trading, and no other work is being done. What's that smell? Click! Click! Just the streets overflowing with sewage, honey. No biggie. Some people make loads of money - but they can't spend it. Please! I need a loaf of bread! I'll pay anything! Grocery. Sorry, I don't actually sell groceries anymore - I trade wheat futures. Eventually ... Everyone is starving! What are we going to do? Obviously we need another tax cut for millionaires! Bravo! Woo!

Caption: Serve your country club. Middle-class Americans! Time to be patriotic. I want you … to pay more in taxes so our brave job creators pay less! You can help achieve victory. I'm melting down my jewelry to give to our heroic billionaires. We must sacrifice. We can't afford tax breaks for student loans. A lifetime of indentured servitude is the least I can do for my country. Whatever you do, don't ask questions. So, when the 0.1% have everything and I have nothing, is that victory? Traitor!

Caption: Part of the problem … is nobody wants to hurt each other anymore. In the good old days … they used to treat them very, very rough. Knock the crap out of them … I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. Love Not Hate. Black Lives Matter. Actual Trump quotes about protesters at his rallies.

Caption: GOP-Care Defended. The AHCA trades people's lives for tax cuts for the wealthy. Who's ok with that? Liberals are all "I'm so afraid of getting sick and dying bankrupting my family." Get over it. I don't mind ritual human sacrifice to hedge fund managers. They've earned it! I don't see why a 60 year-old in Alaska can't just make $30,000/year more to pay for premiums. We are but sinners in the hands of an angry market god. Do not question his will. Maybe people will die, but hey, Trump is keeping his promise to end Obamacare. Well, things may be chaotic at first, but everything will sort itself out. Right?

Caption: Who's Dividing Us? We must stop Sharia Law from taking over America! You say you support women's rights, yet you are tolerant of Islam! Muslims are rapists, you know! So … you agree that rape and sexual harassment should be taken seriously? And that I should be paid the same as a man? Why do you have to be so divisive with your identity politics?!

Caption: Times They Aren't a-Changin'. Fox News has been paying bucketloads of hush money to settle sexual harassment lawsuits. "If you don't like what's happening in the workplace, go to human resources or leave." We have a president accused of sexual assault by several women. "When you're a star, they let you do it." "You can do anything." The GOP caucus to decide women's health care benefits looked like this. "I wouldn't want to lose my mammograms!" Haw! Haw! But don't worry! The New York Times just hired this guy as their new op-ed columnist. "The campus-rape narrative sustains liberal fictions of a never-ending war on women." Bret Stephens.

Caption: Donald Hump in "Tremendous Stamina". I tweet all night! Rates XXX for xxxtra sleaze. He stiffs workers and hides his tax returns. I'm not gonna give you any money shots. Form 1040. By losing nearly a billion in 1995, he's likely avoided paying income taxes ever since. I find every hole in the tax code! Humpa-humpa! U.S. tax laws. I can go for decades, baby! The ruse of being a great businessman while sticking it to the rest of us - Can he keep it up? Stay tuned for the exciting climax! Nov 8.

Caption: The University of Chicago Guide to Free Speech. Some clarifications to our recent letter mandating "freedom of expression" on campus. Are you from a dominant social group saying "politically incorrect" things? That is speech. We'll protect it! Are you from a minority group protesting something said by the previous group? That was racist. ! Proceed with caution, you coddled millennial. Are you an invited speaker to whom we are paying a hefty fee, and also a war criminal/online harasser/extreme bigot/anti-science kook? We've got your back! Want to peacefully protest your university granting legitimacy to this person? Disinvite the bigot. Sorry, voicing that opinion is not speech. We are VERY, VERY concerned about "trigger warnings." (Shout out to right-wing donors!) Yeah! But, no need to mention the problem of campus sexual assault. Are you an LGBT student looking for a place where you don't have to worry about being harassed? Sorry, no "safe spaces," you wimps! Wait, we have those already? Oops.

Caption: Degrade School. For real: McDonald's holds a school fundraiser called "McTeacher Night" in which teachers must serve food to students at McDonald's Mrs. Hubbard! Keep studying, Tanya, and you can be like me someday. Yes, rather than fund schools properly, let's poison our already pre-diabetic kids! When I grow up, I want to get a good job to pay for my insulin shots! M. And the money is pathetic. But ... why did the clown keep most of the cash? Be quiet. You made $1.50. Coming soon: Nicotine Night! Each cigarette smoked - 10¢ for your school! Altria™. Keep puffing, Bobby! Or don't you want chairs this year?

Caption: This campaign season, watch out for candidates … playing the woman card … and I support equal pay for equal work! Blowing the womb whistle. H. Women are, of course, controlled by their ladyparts … Sheila, you will obey my every command this election cycle. Y-y-yes, your egg-cellency ... Leading them to vote with their uteruses. Maybe I'll vote for Trump. Okay. No. Clinton. Trump. Bink! Thank goodness there are men around to educate us. Yeah, it takes stones to point this stuff out! Trump that b*tch.

Caption: Patriots … or Owl Qaeda? So 2016 has kicked off with a heavily-armed militia occupying a waterfowl nesting area. Today a wildlife center, tomorrow the White House! The media aren't quite sure what to call them. Following a very peaceful march, the patriot-protester people, um ... threatened to kill anyone who removes them. A little situation brewing in Oregon. This might not be the case for other groups trying the same thing. War on America. Dangerous treasonous radical violent police-threatening terror thugs! In any case, the "patriots" better watch out for the birdwatchers. If they aren't gone by the spring migration, there'll be hell to pay!

Caption: Arizona is the first state to put a 12-month lifetime limit on welfare benefits. On year. That's all you get! Does this mean you'll raise the minimum wage so I can actually afford to live? No. An you promise me I won't be laid off again? No. Will you build more low-income housing so I can pay the rent? No. Will you stop shipping jobs overseas? No. How about a New Deal-style public works program? No. I'm not sure what sort of lesson this is supposed to teach me. Self-reliance! Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go beg for campaign donations.

Caption: Captains of Industry Speak! On offshoring: If you love something, set it free. That's why we're setting 3,000 jobs free, like gazelles, to bound to new and exotic points of the compass! Just imagine: Data entry under a Calcutta moon! Guangdong cam. Bangalore cam. On downsizing: We had to cut 1,500 jobs, or else we couldn't afford my $50 million bonus. It's just the harsh reality of the market! On automation: The Adminidroid 8000 can do most white-collar desk jobs at a fraction of the cost of actual humans! But don't worry - there will be plenty of new jobs in robot maintenance! On raising the minimum wage: Pay more than $7.25 an hour!? NO WAY! Why, we'd have to CUT JOBS! I guess we won't even ask about unions.

But what they're about is preventing unions from collecting dues. Monthly meeting. Local 341. So, for March we collected $4.87 and half a bagel. So really it's more like a "Right to be a Jerk" state. Guess what? We can organize against you, but you're on your own against us! Corp. lawyer. The assumption being that workers can't do math. Well, I'm only making minimum wage ... But hey, no union dues! I come out ahead, right?
