Caption: Look, I really miss Magus. That's the name of our cat who died. I'm sorry, kid. That's not the problem. It's my parents. They think they need to protect me from the idea of death. They're tiptoeing around it. They told me Magus' body stopped working. To humor them, I asked why. Mom froze, ran into the other room, then faked laryngitis. Her voice stopped working.

Caption: Hey barkeep, double hot chocolate, double whipped cream. Sure. Everything okay? It's our family cat. Her body stopped working. I don't understand. Her body stopped working? She died. But my parents are afraid to use that word with me, so they keep coming up with the strangest explanations. At one point, they told be she went to Wichita and wasn't coming back. I'm lost. Isn't airport travel terrible these days?

Caption: Boss … I need to take a few months off for paternity leave. That's commendable. I'm all for fathers taking an active role in their children's lives. It's good for the health of our economy. Take all the time you need, as long as the "baby" you're talking about isn't a kitten, a houseplant or some video game where you raise a simulation of a baby. I'd like to withdraw my request. I thought you might, minion.

Caption: What are you looking at? Haven't you ever seen a man ordering coffee before? Best. Dad. Ever. I'll also have a raspberry muffin. What? Reason #7 not to have kids.

Caption: You're on, caller. What's your problem? My baby won't stop crying. How do I get her to stop? What do you mean, "get her to stop"? Your baby's a human being and she already has things she wants to tell you. Crying is the only language she knows. Just hold her, tell her "I hear you" ... ... AND GROW A THICKER SKIN! BABY TEARS AREN'T LITTLE GRENADES, LOSER! I wish she'd just text me like everyone else.

Caption: Welcome to ASK SADIE. You're on, Chicago. What's your problem? I'm not sure my children love me. How can. Stop. You know why your children don’t love you? Because you're an insecure, whiny toad and they can SMELL the desperation on you. Raising children is like any other relationship: you have to play hard-to-get! They have a runny nose? A boo-boo? They're hungry? Make them wait till you finish your phone call, do your hair, take your nap, have your supper ... Do your own children love you? I don't see what that has to do with anything.

Caption: I've decided to have a kid. I've decided to get my hearing checked. No, really. There are two ways to become a YouTube star. Either pull pranks on strangers … … or post cute kid videos. And since I'm kind of shy … First check if you're on the federal "do-not-reproduce" list.

Caption: Farewell, coffee man. I've decided to stop spending $120 per month on fancy coffee. Ok. If I save that money instead, I'll have nearly $26,000 to pay for my newborn's college education. I see, well, I can't argue wi. Good point. My kid can't even say his own name, he's not college material. I'll have the Himalayan Mocha. Might want to save up for your child's therapy.

Caption: Mommy and daddy are arguing again. Sorry, little dude. But you shouldn’t worry about it. But it's all my fault. That's a normal thought. Kids always think it's their fault. But it never is. It's not? No. But they're arguing over whether to punish me for driving daddy's lawn mower through Macy's. He has to take a third job to pay for all the damages. That's still not my fault? Nope. It's their fault for not having taught you not to drive a lawn mower through a department store. So when daddy blamed me when I threw all his photo albums in the river, he really should've blamed his own parenting? That's right. "The Childhood Loophole" has very few exceptions.

Caption: Today on Ask Sadie, I'll be addressing one single question: Why do so many people who have not business raising kids, have kids? Why on earth would you bring a child into this world if you're not going to take the time to teach it not to trample it's neighbor's begonias? You're just asking for the child to be glued to your front door by its pants. Tomorrow on Ask Sadie: I'll be addressing how to properly ignore a court summons.

Caption: This morning daddy said he had been planning to take me to Disneyland, but because I downloaded movies illegally, now he's calling it off. That's why I'm sad. Is that all? Listen, kid, parents lie like that all the time. He was never gonna take you to Disneyland, he just wants you to feel guilty. So don't worry about it. You mean ... my ... my daddy is a ... a fibber? Consoling a kid is like tiptoeing through mousetraps. Waaaaa!!

Caption: Are you ready for the greatest treat in the world? Please don't do this. You are about to see the cutest baby. He's adorable. Excellent. I love babies. Aaaah! Didn't I tell you? Don't speak. Looks like a 90-year-old member of the British Parliament. Speechless, I know. Want another peek? No, please! No, it's too incredible for me. Beauty is in the eye of the mother.
