Caption: Good morning, Don! Edison's smart scale. You're up 5.2 pounds. Outside it's minus 3 degrees with ice everywhere. Oh, and here's an interesting tidbit from the AP Wire Service: A man your age has reached his peak earning potential and has nothing more to look forward to. Caption: What have you been up to, Edison? Oh, nothing. Nothing? Well ... nothing except helping poor old Mister Crandall. Do what? Save money. How? By installing my fuel-saving, super-efficient combustion attachment to his car's engine block. Did it work? Pretty much, except for a tiny little knock. Knock? It was actually more like a blam. I wonder why there are fire trucks at the Crandall house. The good news is he won't have to spend nearly as much on gas now.

I see a future where the boundaries of human ingenuity are continually broken, a future filled with amazing new ideas ... Mind-boggling inventions ... Well, I sure hope someone invents a stronger denture adhesive. Perhaps someday mankind will discover how to put more marshmallows in Lucky Charms. Yer a loon, Earl! You can't even eat that stuff ... Or at least one must hope. Oooo ... Imagine a future with a 24-hour squirrel channel.
