Caption: To Mom and Dad: This Valentine's Day, my present to you is an invention of mine, so amazingly new. It slices, it dices, it tells you the time with its energy use costing less than a dime. It'll vacuum the ceilings, the walls and the floors. It'll clean your appliances, windows and doors. It's such a time-saver; this thing you've been needing, now you'll have more time for napping or reading. With this gift, there are three words that I want to say, to my mother and father, "Happy Valentine's Day." Where's the chocolate?

Caption: Ahem! I, Don Lee, resolve to . . . Hold it! You make resolutions every year, and then you feel horribly guilty when you don't honor them. I say skip 'em this year. Accept your flaws and move on! Ya know, you're right. "I Don Lee, resolve to spend more money on lavish trips for the family, and to give Edison more freedom and resources to develop his inventive skills, and . . . " On the other hand, there's something to be said for resolving to overcome one's flaws.

You're gonna need to clean a little peanut butter and jelly out of the toaster. And every year you make it about this far.

Caption: Coming 2010 Dew Drop Dells New Nature Development Corp. Our mission here is to get regular folks like yourselves in touch with nature. Of course, to do that we'll have to make a few slight modifications to the landscape so that it's a bit more tourist-friendly. Modifications? How slight? Well, we'll need a 36-hole mini-golf course, a water park . . . souvenir shops, restaurants . . . But don't worry, there'll still be lots of trees. But the ones in this plan are made of cement and fiberglass. Yeah, well -- You know how insurance companies are . . . liability issues. Hey! The rocks are still 100% natural.

Caption: November is a tough month! Everything dies, from trees to the aspirations of would-be politicians. The beauty of what we know gets swept away with the cold winds of change. Yet, remarkably, we face the future with optimism, with hope that there are greater things to come. Lie a nation that stands united behind its government, or the end to global conflict. I was thinking more like a record number of school snow days, but yeah.

Caption: Clunk! Edison, my ball hit yours. Now what? Oooo, Harley, this is your chance to send his ball clear off the playing field. Or, you could just take the extra shot and leave my ball where it is, which, if you think about it, is the more diplomatic way to handle this. What does it say about society if we're all too quick to destroy that which our fellow man has worked so hard for? Leave my ball where it is, and let's work together to build a brighter future for all. What do you say? I'm so going to knock him into next week when I get the chance.

Caption: I'm tellin' ya, dad, I could make a lot of money selling anti-global warming technology. Oh? Sure! Take my co2-absorbing adhesive bandages, for instance. Strategically placed around the globe, these babies are designed to suck carbon dioxide right out of the air. Another idea is to shoot millions of old AOL trial cds into orbit to reflect the sun back into space. Here's an idea...Instead of encouraging more spending to fix the problem, why not encourage less spending on creating it? Less on gas...less on electricity? Blink blink. Or, there's my giant popsicle forest idea.
