Caption: I did some research. I read the respected New England Journal of Astrophysics, and it looks like you're right … Gamma ray bursts have to come from pretty close by in order to fry all life on earth. So we won't die. Their calculations showed that the worst a gamma ray burst could do is turn us green and make us very, very angry. Might want to doublecheck to make sure you weren't reading their April 1st edition. It's not all bad. They found it may also boost stamina and strength.

Caption: Have you heard that time is not a constant, Randy? Of course, little buddy It's called "time dilation." Time moves slower for objects in motion than it does for objects that sit still. I'm a prime example. I haven't aged a day in decades. I still have rippling muscles, a smooth pelt, glistening teeth, twinkling eyes, a raging libido, and the boundless confidence of youth ... all because I'm always on the move. I'm writing a study on it for the Journal of Temporal Hotness. I've been meaning to ask if you'd be the control group. Can't. I'll be too busy sitting here.

Caption: You're a hard man to read, Randy. At times, you seem like a cad. A Don Juan. A scoundrel. But at other times, you seem wise. Mature. Supportive. Ladies are most responsive to a "bad guy" to "good guy" ratio of 7 to 6.3756892. My findings have been published in the Oxford Journal of Lovin'.

Caption: Today's alpha-lesson is "Keep a journal." The average person lets life pass them by. The events of their lives fade into nothingness. An alpha knows that long after they're gone, their thoughts and experiences will be of great interest to historians. That's not an original thought. I read it in the papyrus Randus Maximus XIV left in a safe deposit box after he helped conquer Judea.

Caption: Can I ask you a question, man-to-man? Sure, little buddy. Is it manly to keep a diary? I've thought of journaling, to help me process all the unbearable horrors and losses I experience. Like when they discontinued the Sega Genesis. I bet journaling would've helped me through that difficult time of my life. "Difficult time of your life"? Instead, I sank deep into depression, refused to speak, and painted my Apple Newton black.

Caption: Do you believe in the multiverse, Randy? Of course, little buddy. I am the ultimate specimen of manhood. The paragon of masculinity. Something like that can't be created on the first attempt. Therefore there must be an infinite number of less ideal Randies out there in parallel universes, who can't get dates. You've put a lot of thought into this. I've submitted Randy's cosmological theorem to all the academic journals.

Caption: Hi, this is Hillary Clinton. (Sigh) Again? You call every week. The Wall Street Journal is saying I'm a month away from announcing whether I'm running for president. I know how excited you must be, average citizen. Will I? Won't I? You're only a month away from finally knowing! House of Java.net Cybercafe ... Or maybe you're not. Are you? Aren't you? Make it stop. Press "one" or hang up to donate to what may or may not be my campaign.
