A dog can't think much about what he's doing. He just does what feels right. That's the difference between us and them. We can think about what we're doing. By the way, what is it that we're doing? Hiding from gramma, so she won't see us eating her brownies. Oh, yeah. |

I've realized something: It's likely that there's only one way for mankind to reach the stars in our lifetimes. Do tell. Scientists believe we'll be able to upload our minds in just 30 years. That means NASA could upload everyone's mind to a robot, and launch it into space. We wouldn't need life support. We wouldn't be affected by radiation or anything. We could even sleep for the 100 years or so it took to get to the nearest star. Then that robot could build more robots and download our minds to them. But we wouldn't have private parts. Mankind isn't mankind if it doesn't have privates. I think that's one for the philosophers. |

I just got off the phone with the Trump campaign. They're still denying me press credentials. This just may end up being the craziest Republican National Convention in history, and I can't get in to report on it. How am I supposed to score the great interviews if I'm locked out? I won't be able to interview the rock stars ... the wrestlers ... the flaming-sword-swallowers ... the magician ... the human pincushion ... What a freakshow. Donald Trump ... |

Let's watch "Lou Grant" on Hulu. "Lou Grant"? Ain't that that show your momma used to watch when we was kids? Yeah. I ran out of things to watch, so I figured I'd finally check out some of the shows that bored me to death when I was young. It was really depressing. If it was depressin', why you wanna watch it? I mean it's depressing how good it is. Our parents' generation had writers and actors who knew how to use mature, flawed characters to tell stories that really examined human nature in all its intricacies. And it's set in a major newspaper back when they were still widely read and mostly family-owned, and saw what they did as a calling. When I think of all the time I wasted watching "Sesame Street" when I could've watched this ... I don't watch nothin' older than the milk in my fridge, bruh. That's policy. |

Wellness Center - Exercise Class. You know, human and robots are very similar when it comes to wellness. We both need to practice good hygiene to avoid viruses. We should all take care of our minds and our bodies. Humans and robots alike function optimally only when we have well-maintained mechanics and a healthy processor. Then to ensure we stay charged during the day, we should power down for eight hours at night. And of course, we all need to be careful about the things we take in. I agree! Whatever I download goes straight to my chips! |
