Caption: Edison's Science Sunday. Welcome to "Edison's Science Sunday." I'm your host, Edison Lee. In a moment I'm going to demonstrate how to conduct experiments using common household objects. But first I'd like to introduce my trusty lab assistant. Come on out, Joules. Clink clank clink clank. By the way, I love this armor you have me. It makes me feel so - Zzt. Zwip! Today's lesson: Fun with electromagnets. Safe.

Caption: Hey Joules, I'm doing a maze experiment and I need your help. Enter maze. Oh, that is so typical! I'm a rat, so naturally you think I'm good at mazes! Personally, I find such a stereotype offensive. There's a Pop-Tart in the middle of it. I'm only doing this in the best interest of science. Enter.

Caption: 30 chromosomes vs. 38. Giraffe cat. A giraffe cat? Definitely one of my better ideas. I just need to find a way around a few minor gene-splicing issues. Why are you doing it? Why did Sir Edmund Hillary climb Mount Everest? Why did Columbus sail to America? Because they were driven! And you're driven to make cats with long necks? That sounds more like a drive to stroke a big ego. Me? A big ego? One of my many amazing qualities is my extreme humbleness.

Caption: Hi, Edison, what have you been up to this summer? Grunt … I've been to horse camp, swim camp, and band camp, and then I visited my aunt in Connecticut. I've been too busy for "camp" - conducting important experiments that will advance the knowledge of all mankind. That's great! Keep it up. So how's Katie? Annoyingly well-adjusted.

Caption: Today on Edison's Science Sunday, we will be recreating the famous genetic experiments of Gregor Mendel. Edison's Science Sunday. Ooo … sounds exciting. So, this Greg guy … did he mess around with dinosaur DNA, like Jurassic Park? Or make Cronenberg-like sheep-moth creatures? Did he? My assistant Joules will now spend the next three months watching these peas grow. That concludes today's program. Good day. Peas?

Caption: A few hours of practice with my throw-o-matic and I'll be the best right fielder the game of baseball has ever known. I can program it to send a ball along any conceivable trajectory to the outfield. Why don’t you just play catch with your dad? How scientific is that?!

Caption: Joules, I need you to - NO, NO! NO! NO! I'm NOT putting on ANY suit, sitting on ANY ROCKET - WHOA! It's nothing like that. I just need you to be the middle man in a little transfer I'm making. Well … that sounds harmless. Here, hold a bare wire in each hand so I can transfer power from one battery to the other.

Caption: That's a credit card in MY name. Zero percent interest for twenty-four months! You're wrong if you think the ability to buy anything I want with easy credit will make me fall for your stupid, stupid trap! Suit yourself. I accidentally tripped and fell. That Amazon place is open 24/7, right?

Caption: (Mathematical symbols) You're tellin' me this is an anti-gravity suit? I don’t believe it. Not only that, I refuse to take part in any more of these wacko, harebrained experiments of yours. I'll give you a box of Pop-Tarts. So how do I put this thing on? You see, Joules, my theory is based on an amazingly simple equation that builds on Einstein and Newton. HEY! IT WORKS! Quite simply, I multiplied your mass times the ... Um ... Oops. Oops?! What does "oops" mean?! Somehow or another I misplaced a decimal point in my original equation. CRASH. So, I have this theory for warp-speed running shoes. Can I please just have my Pop-Tarts? Erase. Erase.
