These guys are going to have some kind of contest. (Musical note.) Let's see who sings the best. (Question mark.) No. Let's play "Jeopardy." All answers must be in the form of a question. (Exclamation point.) Whatever we do, I'll be the most enthusiastic!! (Ampersand.) Can we form partnerships? (Dollar sign.) Is there any prize money? (Percentage symbol.) What are the chances of winning? (Asterisk.) Winning's not that important. With me here, winning will be marked as not wholly legitimate! |

Football Training Camp. Frank, I hear this new robot can play any position on offense. Is he a good tailback? Yeah, with new battery technology he can run all day! With the antenna raised, he can also be a receiver. And with the spam filter activated, he becomes a great blocker! Can he play quarterback? Of course! He has a scrambler software and a million-dollar arm! |

Coin Dealer Buy and Sell. It was a good day for my business. I sold an 1850 U.S. gold dollar for $200. I had paid $125 for it. Yesterday I paid $700 for a Canadian quarter and sold it today for $100. And I sold a Spanish Doubloon for $4000, a $500 profit. This is a tough business and I work hard ... I wish Ernie would stop telling people I make a living by "flipping coins"! |

C'mon, Ernie, it's time to work on our map. The stars over there look like a dollar sign --- it must be "The Big Tipper"! And these look like a flying swine --- I guess it's "Pigasus." What about those that look like some sort of insect? That's "Gemini Cricket," of course! There could be intelligent life out there --- Wouldn't it be ironic if those two found it! |

This is a fascinating article! I'm learning a lot about international finance! It says that a country's currency is either "free-floating" or "pegged." The value of a pegged currency is fixed to another currency or basket of currencies. But the exchange rate for a free-floating currency, like the dollar, is determined by market forces! I already knew the dollar is free floating --- Most of mine have drifted away! |
