Caption: Supreme Court Silver Lining. Mandatory Birthing Center. Well, at lease we didn't ruin a man's life over a sexual assault allegation. Sure, there's no EPA anymore. At least we didn't let serial perjury stop such a reasonable man. So I've lost my health insurance. At least we didn't let a rage-filled diatribe derail a qualified nominee. Hospital bill $170,000. Yeah, I'm facing felony charges over peaceful protest. But at least we didn't let the objections of thousands of law professors hinder his confirmation.

Caption: Authoritarian Funnies. This week: "Kettling." During protests at Trump's inauguration, police used a tactic called "kettling": Rounding up a whole city block to make mass arrests. Anyone on the same block as a rioter is probably guilty of something. Now hundreds face felony charges call it the "trawling" approach to justice. Catch of the day! Journalist. Peaceful protester. Legal observer. Set garbage can on fire. It's like rounding up everyone at the supermarket because somebody slipped turkey bacon down his pants. If you're so innocent, what were you doing in the meat department? Why not apprehend entire cities? You are all under arrest for bank robbery! Justice served! Police line. Do not cross.

Caption: Who's Dividing Us? We must stop Sharia Law from taking over America! You say you support women's rights, yet you are tolerant of Islam! Muslims are rapists, you know! So … you agree that rape and sexual harassment should be taken seriously? And that I should be paid the same as a man? Why do you have to be so divisive with your identity politics?!

Caption: If social justice movements tried not to offend anyone. Votes for women now! We mustn't alienate the menfolk! Suffrage please (if it isn't too much trouble). I dunno, maybe we should knock off this "identity politics" thing. We march for civil rights. Stonewall means fight back! Smash gay oppression. Wait, what are we doing? This is just a "boutique issue." ... and into the present. Don't grab my hijab, bro! Are you sure you want to be so p.c.?

Sept. 2014: Genocidal maniacs fill power vacuum in Iraq. Kurdish refugees flee. Who could known? Sept. 2014: People march around the world begging leaders to address climate change. No flood for oil! This will be a disaster. In a few decades: Welcome to Miami-Dade County. Dengue Fever-carrying mosquitoes. Who coulda known?

Caption: Around the country, people are demonstrating the right to bear arms by entering public spaces with assault weapons. True: A man caused mass panic parading a semi-automatic rifle through a Charlottesville, VA supermarket. Bananas. How can you tell if that guy toting an AR-15 in the grocery store is a GUN NUT or MASS SHOOTER? 1. Are you still alive? If so, he might not be a homicidal maniac. 2. Which box is checked on his t-shirt? Good. Evil. You're probably okay! 3. Has he brought a well-regulated militia? Actually, this could go either way. 4. Still not sure? HIDE. But feel proud that you're not infringing on anybody's RIGHTS!
