Caption: The mummified remains of about 40 Buddhist monks were discovered in China, Mongolia and India. All the mummies were found sitting in the lotus position. Many believe that these monks sat so still, meditated for so long, and slowed their heart rates and body functions so much that they became mummified alive ... and they believe that whether those mummies are 200, 600, or 1,000 years old ... they're still alive. Where'd you hear all that? "Strange Mysteries." It's a Youtube channel. I wrote to them to suggest they do a show on whether playing Xbox for five hours a night is the same things as meditating. I'd hate to accidentally mummify myself. You have been looking a little ashy lately.

Caption: Armstrong, did you feel that earthquake a few minutes ago? I felt nothing, minion. I haven't felt an earthquake since I was a small child. Probably because of the full-body money-clip I've carried ever since then. The wads of bills layered about my body serve to absorb vibrational and impact forces. I once fell out of a fourth-story window and didn't even notice it. The one percent are different from you and me.

Caption: This is Dr. Sadie. What's your question, caller? How can I tell if my cold is really bronchitis? Stop yer sniveling. In my day, a body would hope it was bronchitis. It gave you a chance to prove your grit! Nothing like a touch of burning pain, wheezing, and crackling in the chest to separate the women from the girls. What kind of doctor are you, again?

Caption: People see me as a heartless, miserly man whose pursuit of money leaves him with no room for personal relationships. It's taken me a long time to cultivate that image, Randy. But sometimes, when I'm home alone in the cold of the night, I long to feel a warm, comforting body beside me. That's why I've started warming my life-size doll made of $20 bills in the microwave. Is that weird? To each his own.

Caption: I think Armstrong was coming on to me just now. 'Cause he was winking at you? The meaning of a wink depends entirely on context, little buddy. It could mean anything from "I want your body" to "I want you to dispose of this body." As someone who's dated several ladies of the mafia, trust me when I say it's sometimes tough to discern the difference. That's why I always recommend amateurs just ignore all winks. Ok.

Caption: Hi Darlene. Was that me you were waving at? Yes. Step half an inch closer, Rudy. This is a courtesy reminder of our upcoming midlife crisis appointment. Our what? I have you booked for "mad passionate fling with someone my friends and family would disapprove of," for March of this year through February of 2018. We start next month. That's enough time for you to firm your chest and arms up to a semi-acceptable level of near-manliness. It's also enough time for you to tattoo-up. I just emailed you an autocad blueprint with the designs and the specific locations on your body where they're to be scrawled ... and then she gave me a list of sweet nothings to whisper to her. My advice is to be very indignant about all this, beginning after February of 2018.

Caption: Sadiekins? I feel you've unfairly judged me. How so, snookums? I've spent my entire life going against the grain, challenging the status quo. Being a rabble-rouser. Het this morning you said I don't have a spontaneous bone in my body. Well I've written a response to that and you're going to listen. Read the funny pages on the potty! Oh, wait. This is yesterday's itinerary.

Caption: Have you ever known anyone famous? I have. I've always been great friends with Randy "The Rock" Taylor. What? That's you. Carry yourself like everyone knows you, and everyone you meet will feel like they should know you. Hey, you all over there! You know me! You don't carry things with your mouth.

Caption: I've realized something: It's likely that there's only one way for mankind to reach the stars in our lifetimes. Do tell. Scientists believe we'll be able to upload our minds in just 30 years. That means NASA could upload everyone's mind to a robot, and launch it into space. We wouldn't need life support. We wouldn't be affected by radiation or anything. We could even sleep for the 100 years or so it took to get to the nearest star. Then that robot could build more robots and download our minds to them. But we wouldn't have private parts. Mankind isn't mankind if it doesn't have privates. I think that's one for the philosophers.

Caption: Today's alpha-lesson is "Become a Vapor." Wherever you are, be it a broom closet or a baseball stadium, carry yourself as if your body fills the entire place. Greet people with you arms out wide. Have a wide stance. A booming laugh. A wide-open smile. Becoming a vapor is the best and most legal way to mark your territory.

Caption: I've observed you for the last 15 years. Would you like to know what I've concluded? Sure. You're aging badly. Your hairline has receded by nearly 0.27 inches. Your lateral incisors and cuspids have grown inwardly crooked by 0.3 degrees Ö You've cultivated a bountiful crop of ear hairs, and your average pore size has increased from 50 microns to 54. It's been a great comfort to me to see that your haggardization is proceeding apace. I don't think I'll ever say "sure" again in life.

Caption: Boss Ö I just read an article about trans-humanism. Apparently, sometime in the next 50 years, it will become possible to live forever. Stop right there. This isn't some underhanded attempt to weasel out of your end of the bargain, is it? A lifetime contract is a lifetime contract. It's not my fault you didn't read the fine print. If I transfer my consciousness to an android body, technically that's a new lifetime. We'll litigate that bridge when we come to it.

Caption: Do you believe the world is all an illusion? I know it is. I know it can be bent by our collective will. When I was born, there were horses and buggies in the streets. But as soon as we all believed we could do it, we went to the moon. Oh, I agree. That's why I'm trying to get the whole internet to retweet "It's possible to upload our minds into immortal robot bodies." If the entire hive mind of earth tweets that at the same time, it's got to come true. I hope not. I'd hate for you to end up being the most important person in history.

Caption: If you could change just one thing about yourself, what would it be? I'd totally wish to have my brain put into a robot body. That way I could live forever. Imagine living long enough to buy an iPhone 7000. Wrong answer. An alpha male never lets on that he's concerned about mortality. Your answer should have been "nothing." The alpha male or female is not afraid of death, little buddy. I think I'd rather wait for the 7000-s. Stop it.

Caption: Cup of tea. You always order that. Why not try something else? Because unlike you and your entire generation, I donít have a fear of commitment. Tea has treated my body well and tasted lovely to me for years, so I'm loyal to it. Unlike you, I donít have philandering tastebuds!!! It's just a little coffee or juice. It means nothing. (This cartoon was originally published on 2014-02-11).

Caption: What's in your ostrich burger? 100% ostrich, gouda cheese, lettuce and tomato and mayo. Is it real gouda cheese? What do you mean "real"? Is it made from the milk of Dutch cows? I suppose it is. What type of lettuce is it? Green leaf? Iceberg? Romaine? Oak leaf? Butterhead? Romaine. And the tomato? Is it Roma? Cabernet? Granny Smith? Bush Goliath? Azoychka" Arkansas Traveler? Delizia? Cherry Brandywine? Black Krim? You ask a lot of questions. Aren't I entitled to know what I'm putting in my body? Of course. I didn't mean to imply otherwise. What kind of personality did the ostrich have? Was he an outgoing bird? I'd really love to just five you the bird right now.

Continue Ö and you know how embarrassing it is when people you know catch you sniffing your own armpit? Continue ... and you know how apps like "Uber" let you summon total strangers to drive by and provide you a service? Stop right there.

Caption: What's the first thing you remember? Why do you ask? Because it'll help the cosmologists. Come again? Cosmologists have discovered a lot about the universe. In 1990, they discovered cosmic microwaves are "black body radiation." What that means is, they discovered the microwave radiation that fills the universe conforms exactly to a pattern known as a "black body spectrum" that was predicted by models of the big bang. English!!! They proved the big bang happened. But one of the big questions cosmologists still can't answer is: "What came before the big bang?" Cosmologists everywhere would very much love to hear about your earliest memory. Get ready to experience the second big bang!!!
