Caption: I saw Clerks the other day. I don't get why you said it's the best movie ever. What? I said that way back in 1994, Susan. You're thinking in three dimensions. But we live in a four-dimensional world. Everything has four coordinates, one of which is time. It may be dates now, but in 1994 when it came out, Clerks was the best movie ever. I highly doubt that. 2018 Susan cannot argue with 1994 Lemont. It's scientifically impossible.

Caption: Three years ago during a special episode of the Ask Sadieâ„¢ show, our resident octogenarian asked readers for advice about how she could deal with her midlife crisis. You should try a radical makeover. When I hit midlife, I dyed my hair, got some tattoos, and dropped 75 pounds. My husband barely recognized me when he returned from overseas. He was not happy with my "new self," so I divorced him rather than change who I'd become. It was the best decision I'd made since I cut my thieving mother out of my life. She and he were always a little too close anyway. - C. Post, Seattle WA. Maybe for my midlife crisis, I'll try oversharing! It seems to make you happy. Advise Sadie at asksadie@rudypark.com.

Caption: Sadie, sometimes I get really depressed when I think about how divided we are as a country. You've been here a long time. Maybe you can help me. Are we really more divided now than at any time since the Civil War? I figured you'd be the best person to ask, seeing as how you were there. And is it true Abraham Lincoln had a high-pitched voice? You're going to have a high-pitched voice once I'm through with you.

Caption: It's Dr. Sadie. Go ahead, caller. I got a bonus for the first time in years. Would it be selfish to spend it on myself instead of on Christmas gifts? The age-old question: Do I enjoy the fruits of my labor or give them to the losers and ingrates who did absolutely nothing to earn them? Fly yourself to Maui and send them a photo of you eating a seven-course meal. That'll encourage them to work harder and earn their own bonuses. Encouragement is the best gift you can give. I really love your show, Dr. Sadie.

Caption: Plausible deniability. Huh? It’s the best part about being old. What do you mean? The Kravitzes' cat "Lester" lives across the street from me. Every night for nine years, Lester has been rummaging through my garbage. And every morning for nine years, the Kravitzes have refused my polite requests that they keep that depraved beast chained up in their basement at night. The nerve. This morning I may have mistakenly used catnip to lure Lester into a crate, and then accidentally shipped him to Hong Kong. ... Or not. I'm just a little old lady. I don't always remember why or even WHETHER I've done things. PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY! I know what you mean. That's one of the main weapons in the "guy" arsenal, too. Thump.

But in the end we're like this crayon … A worn out stub with it's wrapper torn off. That one got stuck in my nose for a while. Ah ... No wonder you let me use it.

As someone once said, "Grandkids are the dots that connect the lines from generation to generation." And in our case, Nelson likes to connect the age spits on his grampa's head.

We don't have celebrity parties, but we are surrounded by stars! And celebrities fly on private jets while up here we all have our wings! That's great! The best part is no more auditions! Oh, sorry --- we have something like that up there, too.
