A tiny internet café hit by hurricane, attacked by armed rebels, overcome with a mysterious disease, then saved! By an intrepid barista named Rudy Park. I was just a patriot doing my job. Like me, Anderson Cooper.

Caption: Did you see my citizens journalist special report? Nope. My first big scoop: Some of the café's day-old pastries are actually two day-old pastries. HOJ. I'm speaking truth to power! Fascinating. Who served these pastries? Well, me. I think I've got my first scoop.

Caption: I'm sorry, we're all out of mocha. Want something else? Yes, I want you to run to Starbucks and get me a mocha. I'm … what? Sorry, I can't do that. You have to. Or I'll sue. I saw your menu from the sidewalk. I'm not following. If your menu is viewable from the sidewalk, it's considered advertising. If you advertise a product but you don't have it in stock and you don't cross it out, that's false advertising. And that's a crime. So what's it going to be? Are you going to run down to Starbucks or do you want me to bring the wrath of the entire judicial system down upon you? I'm not sure any of that is true. But I could use the fresh air. While you're there, would you be a poodle and get me a cheese danish?

Caption: I suppose you'd like to know why I summoned you here at 3am, minion. Not really. My studies show there's a 0.0067% uptick in coffee sales when you appear sleepier than the patrons. Come again? My theory is that's because seeing you falling asleep on your feet subconsciously makes customers feel like they need more caffeine ... From now on, you're only to sleep three non-consecutive hours per day. Very bad mazzzzz ...

No, I remember handing you the drink, you showing me the coupon … and then when I tried to take if from you, you pushed aside a table, a boy scout and a nun as you fled. I don't think so. Get out.

Caption: Do you validate? What? No, there's not parking lot. It's just street parking and that's free. I know. But I came in to get a coffee yesterday morning at 7:59. The line was so long that I didn't get out of here till 8:02. Apparently you had street cleaning that started at 8a.m. I'm not following. It was your long line. The least you could do is validate the parking ticket they gave me. Get out.

Caption: What's your most popular drink? Why do you want to know? Why base your order on what other people are buying? Don't be a follower. Be your own man. If you're unfamiliar with a drink, ask what's in it and decide for yourself whether that sounds good. Or better yet, live a little. Take a risk. Choose a drink you've never had at random and see where it takes you. You only have one life. Don't live it following in the footsteps of other people. That's kind of harsh. No, it's the name of the drink.

Caption: What can I get you? I'll have a mocha, a scone, and an explanation of Beyonce's "Formation" video. Ok. Would you like that for here or to go? Here would be good. Ok. Last month, Beyonce released a music video that expressed pride in her black heritage. Pride in black culture, pride in black physical features, pride even in the Black Panther movement. The reason this is ok is, for centuries, mainstream culture has been telling black people to be ashamed of all that. They've been told to straighten their hair, talk differently, and even lighten their skin if they want to look "professional." When the world tells you to be ashamed of who you are, it's ok to say "No, I'm proud of it." That'll be $14.95. Can I also get a side of explaining why it's important that scientists finally discovered gravity waves?

Caption: I don't know what to order. So many choices. It can be a little intimidating. What's the difference between the pumpkin-ginseng latte and the ginseng-pumpkin latte? Oh, well … we prepare the pumpkin-ginseng in a way that maximizes its efficacy. A way that what's its what? We try to credibly reconceptualize its scalable organic sources. What's more, we rapidiously iterate equity-invested supply chains and seamlessly cloudify real-time infusement techniques honed from years of adaptive cultivation. But the best part is, it has this kick that we fungibly exploit, resource-leveling mindshare hormones to achieve a completely thirst-quenching network of world-class taste architectures. You know, it's ok to admit there's no difference. The ginseng-pumpkin, on the other hand, proactively optimizes synergistic reintermediate maintanable electrolytes.

A cinnamon mocha latte with a peppermint lollipop swizzle stick. Excuse me?! That is not my favorite drink ... dear. My favorite drink is a cinnamon mocha latte with a spearmint lollipop swizzle stick ... dear. I am so sorry ... snookums. How could I have possibly been so heartless and thoughtless as to confuse spearmint with peppermint? I must be the biggest jerk in the world. You said it. I didn't ... dear. Give us a drink that says "You're just like your meddling mother." Give us a drink that says "My mother was right about you." Leave! Both of you!

I've scheduled you for an old-timey glasses fitting at noon. I don’t need glasses! You're now a vegan, but you can eat meat as long as you do it ironically.

Caption: Anyhow, thanks for listening, Rudy. It's part of the job. I guess you're right: the move to 3rd grade is a big one. There are lots of changes. You've just got to roll with it. And buy a new video game console? It eases any transition. How did you get to be so smart? Playing lots of video games.
