Reprint Cost Guidelines - Ancillary Usage The costs below are guidelines that are based on one-time, non-exclusive usage of a cartoon and an approved ancillary usage of the same cartoon with delivery of the image via e-mail usually within four business days of the reuse cost being approved by you. What is an ancillary usage? Use of a cartoon for a secondary purpose associated with publication of a cartoon in a book, magazine or newsletter. For example, publication of the same cartoon in a teacher's guide that will be distributed with a textbook. How much does each ancillary usage cost? A good guideline is to add 25% to the cost of the reuse for the cartoon(s) in the book, magazine or newsletter. The costs below include both the primary and one ancillary usage.
