Nick Anderson became the editorial cartoonist at the Houston Chronicle on February 13, 2006. His cartoons are syndicated to newspapers by the Washington Post Writers Group. Nick arrived at the Houston Chronicle from the Louisville Courier-Journal where he began his career in 1991.

Nick's philosophy: An editorial cartoonist, fundamentally, should be anti-establishment. No matter which party is running the government, it is the essence of satire to question authority.

In addition to the 2005 Pulitzer Prize, Nick has won the Fischetti and the Best of Gannett Awards.
