Caption: Sup. I overheard you just now, talking about how awful your job is. Well just be glad you ain't me, Bruh. I'm the cat the president uses to deflect criticism. Some People. I say all kinds of crazy nonsense that no one actually believes, and then Bush gets to say "I strongly disagree," which makes him look sensible and tough. You may be familiar with my work. Observe: "If you're Muslim, you can't be free." That's ridiculous! Thanks, Dawg! I'm working on a new on: "If you worship god, you're not welcome in our schools." That's @#$% ridiculous! What can I say? I'm good at what I do.

Caption: And the good book says "Blessed are the poor, for yours is the kingdom of God." Luke 6:20. But more blessed are the rich, for theirs is everything else. "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land." Matthew 5:5. But more blesses are the bold, for they will show the rest of the world who's boss. "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." But more blessed are the merciless, for they will kill ten Iraqi civilians for every one American who died on 9-11. I liked Reverend Wilfred better before he accepted that "faith-based initiative" money from the White House. Blessed are hose who spy on our e-mails and our phone calls.....

Caption: The White Office of Faith-Based Initiatives visits Reverend Wilfred. Reverend, you should condemn the liberals who ruined Coretta Scott King's funeral. Condemn those who had the nerve to bash war and social inequality. But Mrs. King herself was an outspoken critic of war and social inequality. That's beside the point.

Caption: The White Office of Faith-Based Initiatives visits Reverend Wilfred. Coretta Scott King would've hated all that talk about social justice at her funeral. The Kings were all about bringing people together, and looking to a future where black CEOs and white CEOs, and Jewish and gentile defense contractors could pillage the country together in peace. Lord, why are you punishing me? The Kings were all about letting bygones be bygones.

I refuse to condemn people who honored her by speaking about social justice at her funeral. If I were guessing, I'd say he's gonna tell you to help out with that. Oh. By all means, send the deacon right in! Caption: Steve, for 25 years we've been coming up here on New Year's Day to celebrate the glorious ridiculousness of life by casting off our vestments of conformity and lying naked in the periwinkle. So? So I sense a chill in the air. We're being watched. Shut up. Lie down. Everything's fine. If this were the comics. we'd be censored. Nonsense. This isn't exactly a faith-based activity. Yes it is! "As he came from his mother's womb, so he will go again, naked as a jaybird. -- Ecclesiastes 5:15. Well, maybe like America herself, I'm just becoming modest! Not all but in spots. Edited. I'm sorry. There's not "jaybird" in Ecclesiastes.

Caption: I'm tired of people mischaracterizing those of us who valiantly defend Christmas. Insisting that other people say "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Holidays" doesn't make me intolerant. I respect people of other faiths and even atheists. That's cool. And every December they're each free to worship the savior in their own way.
